Reading:

In today's world, an impenetrable mindset is essential. Noah exemplified this strength, and it is a quality that every faith-filled, God-fearing believer in Jesus Christ of Nazareth must possess, both now and in the future. Endurance, Perseverance, Impenetrable Mindset are the key terms to fully comprehend in this reading for yourself. Below you will find the references for this post. Don’t take my word for it, research it and discover how God is working a mighty deed in your life.

Did you know that it took Noah nearly 80 years, perhaps even a bit longer, to build the ark? Join me in exploring how a solid foundation in Christ, rooted and grounded in love, as described in Ephesians 3:17, will help you cultivate a #NoahMindset. This foundation is based upon His Word and requires a full understanding of the following passages within the bible. All of the verses shared are from the King James Version.

Ephesians 3:14-19
14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

After reading the foundational verse for this post, discover why perseverance and endurance until the end is crucial and how possessing a Noah Mindset will ensure that both you and I will witness the fulfillment of God's promises according to His Word.

The concept of the #NoahMindset begins with Genesis 5:32 And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth. This is followed by Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. In Genesis 6:6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. Knowing that God has a heart informs me that God hurts too —when we er in our ways.

From these passages, we understand that God was deeply troubled by His creation—humankind. I believe that Jesus was part of the conversation, reassuring God that He would willingly save us. This might mark the beginning of the discussion that ultimately led to the necessity of Jesus' sacrifice.

Furthermore, in Genesis 6:18 But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee. 19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female. 20 Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive. 21 And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them. 22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

In this portion of the Word, this is what was expected of Noah, and why God chose Noah. Genesis 7:1-5 1 And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. 2 Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female. 3 Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth. 4 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth. 5 And Noah did according unto all that the Lord commanded him.

Going deeper in the Word; Genesis 7:6 And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth. 7 And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood. 8 Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of everything that creeps upon the earth, 9 There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.

For the sake of calculation, Noah was 500 years old when he begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and 600 years old when he and his family, including his sons' wives, entered the ark, and God shut them in. According to Genesis 7:16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the Lord shut him in. I speculate that Noah's sons were approximately 20 years old when they married their wives, suggesting an age range of 15 to 25 years for each of them and their wives, respectively. In this context, Noah's sons assisted him in building the ark. It is likely that the construction of the ark spanned upwards of 85 years, considering the possibility that his sons were 15 to 20 years old when they married. It is quite possible that Noah was told to build the ark when his sons were toddlers, and he began immediately. This option could make the process almost a full 100 years.

That said, Noah faithfully carried out God's commands, as documented from Genesis 5 through Genesis 7. With the timeline and timeframe now presented, do you think you would have the ability to undertake a similar task that could span the entirety of your lifetime or even 1/10th of your lifetime? Noah lived to be 950 years old, according to Genesis 9:29 And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died. This consumed almost 1/10th or a little more of his life. In performing this amazing and wonderous task, according to Genesis 6:8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord; this grace that was gifted of the Lord is possibly what gave Noah the ability to perform this enormous, amazing, and wondrously marvelous task, and to persevere through the ridicule and hatred that he endured. All that he did, he did to ensure that the commandments of the Lord are completed as commanded. Is there something God has commanded you to perform? Do you need Gods’ gifted Grace? Are you aware that God has already gifted you this amazing Grace?

What I am able to impart to you from this study is that: We Require a Noah Mindset to complete this mission of life. This is not specific to any group, race, creed, nation, or tongue. This is specific to those who believe in Jesus Christ of Nazareth, His Only Begotten Son!
